It’s snowing on the mountains,

And it’s quiet in the towns.

Sleepy children stay awake

To the gentle Christmas sounds.

Pine and cedar fill the air,

Lights and tinsel hanging there.

It’s time to be sharing

All the love that’s in our hearts.

When we find we are caring

Is when friendship really starts.

Though our peace comes from above

It cannot be without love.

So have a loving Christmas;

I’m wishing the best for you-

Joy, and peace, and love that’s true,

And success in all you do.

May the spirit of Christmas

Be with you the whole year through.

From West Virginia mountains

And valleys I hold so dear-

Or Charlotte, Carolina-

In my heart, you’re always near.

And even better New Year.
