Merry Christmas Darling

Although we’re now apart

Thoughts never diminish

For you’re always in my heart.

 

The day you went away

Tore my heart in two

For never a day goes by

When I fail to think of you.

 

You were my world you see

My one and only love

As all the hours and days go by

You’re the one I always think of.

 

Christmas time seems sad to me

But I know Jesus is by my side

To guide me through the bad times

He holds his arms out wide.

 

I always have my faith

And go to God in prayer

For it’s only through Him

The hard times I can bear.

 

So Merry Christmas Darling,

Someday we’ll meet again

When Jesus calls me home

Then there’ll be no more pain.
