Dear
Father, please hear our prayer
Please
ease the pain; our hearts repair.
So
many lost their lives today
Smoke
filled the air, our sky turned gray.
Horrendous
acts of lust and greed
Free
us from this pain we plead.
Please
guide us with your tender touch
We
need you God, You are our crutch.
The
acts of evil displayed this day
Caused
fear, hate and much dismay.
These
acts cannot be justified
As
we watched and saw the planes collide.
Our
country, they tried to destroy
Did
it give them pleasure? Did they enjoy?
The
bloodshed caused on September 11
Do
they now feel they'll go to heaven?
Please,
Dear God, show them thery’re wrong
That
our country is much too strong
Let
them know "In God We Trust"
And
what they've done is so unjust.
We'll
fly our flags; We proudly stand
In
this free country, our great land.
Bless
America, Oh Father, we pray
The
flags that wave on this sad day.

send my sincere thank you to ALL who have extended their sympathy
and prayers to the American people. I cannot express the gratitude I
feel for the love and prayers that have been sent out.
To those
Americans that have lost their loved ones to this tragedy, my heart
goes out to each of you. I ask that God will touch you in a special
way. My prayers are with you.

Although it would be
impossible for me to print all of the email I have personally received,
I will share with you just a few of the several hundred letters I received
from friends from other countries.

Dear Ruth Ann.
Me and my Family send
you and all the American people our deepest feeling. We all pray for
you. ALL people in Denmark are in deep deep sorrow. Radio and
Television is sending all time to tell us about it. The Danish Queen
is taking to a safe place, because nobody knows what next will
happen.
When I heard about it
you was the first in my mind Ruth Ann. I only knows a little about
the distance in USA, so I do not know how far you are from what have
been happen.
The Danish people is
walking to the American Embassy here in Copenhagen with flowers and
candles to show there sorrow.
Love and prayer to you
and all Americans. I have no words in English Ruth Ann, but I'm sure
you understand this letter.

Hello my dear,
I have just
received your poem from a new found friend called Marion Jones and I
have just been
online to read it. I would like everyone else like to express
my shock and horror at what mankind
has done to one of its own, so many lives and extended families have
now been affected
that it makes
me ill to try and contemplate how people can be strong enough to
come through this. But I know that with Gods help people will
overcome and find the strength no matter how tragic the
circumstances.
Your poem has
been one of the best, well written and heart felt I have seen since
yesterday which
concerns the
tragic episode and I just wanted to tell you that and to express
that so many people over here ( North Wales, UK ) are
sending you their prayers.

anger and shock that has hit Queensland, Australia today, reminding

It has
been a day of remorse here in Canada ! Just thinking of
of all the sad families just gives me the goose bumps. Hearing
about the loss of
life of
Fireman & Police men saddened me very much these men give so
much of themselves to help save others.,
It is people
like you who can reach people, and make them understand that
friends all over can & will pray for their future no matter
what is in store.
Just who
would do such a horrific thing ??It isn't easy to understand but when
one has Faith, accepting is the only solution

I live in
Ontario Canada, and work at a hospital
Everyone I
know of in our country stands in unison with yours in shock and
sorrow for such horrifying acts
It is as
though it was our own country attacked
Our hospital
is on stand by to help in any way we can
And here too,
the blood donor clinics are lined up for hours to help in any way
people can
We are in
sympathy with those who have lose a loved, and wish God's comfort
to those left to morn.
