The exhibition showed the beauty, culture and traditions of Central Asian countries, portraying the daily lives of their inhabitants and stimulating a reflection on the differences and similarities between Europe and Central Asia. The photos have been selected on the basis of a transnational photo contest gathering more than pictures. The exhibition was accompanied by two panel discussions on the topic of connectivity and on culture and education. More information can be found here. This conference will target the identified stakeholders as well as the European public.
Entries for the international contest is now open for submission of photos and videos. Nikon Photo Contest is an international photo contest that aims to provide an opportunity for photographers around the world to communicate, as well as to enrich photographic culture for professionals and amateurs alike. Since the first Contest was held in , photographers from countries and regions around the world have participated and shown their support.
ADB initiated the Asia Clean Energy Forum ACEF in , with the aim of sharing best practices in policy, technology, and finance to meet the region's climate and energy security challenges. In the years since, ACEF has become the premier clean energy knowledge sharing event in the region which attracts a diverse group of stakeholders from governments, national and multinational banks, carbon and clean energy investment funds, project developers and service providers, academe, civil society, and development partners and other international organizations, engaged in cross-cutting issues of clean energy development and financing, climate change, energy access and security, and governance in the energy sector. To coincide with the ACEF on June, we encourage all amateur photographers from ADB Member Countries to submit photos related to energy efficiency, renewable energy, increasing energy access, and energy innovations focused in Asia. ADB reserves the right to edit and publish any of the submitted photos on its websites or other materials for nonprofit use alongside the ADB logo. Entrants will retain their intellectual property rights to their photos.
